Prince of Wales Chamber of Commerce is absolutely thrilled that the City of Craig has decided to name Small Business Saturday (SBS), November 30th, as their 2019 Tax-Free Day.
As last year, Ketchikan Daily News has printed our flyer filled with SBS POW Chamber member coupon specials from Klawock AC Grocery, CTA Smoke & Gift Shop, Black Bear Store, and Seaport Telcom on page 10 inside this Island Post publication. These one-day coupons must be presented to the specified place of business for the sale price to be effective.
What and when is Small Business Saturday, you ask? SBS is a national shopping spree, held the day after Black Friday, and the Saturday after Thanksgiving. SBS is an established day set aside to draw attention to the importance of shopping at local businesses versus online stores and larger retailers. SBS is a clear win for small businesses and consumers alike. Great, new, local products, talents and services are discovered and valued, and the sale of such items greatly helps to support our local economy.
