Alaska Seaplanes announces flights between Juneau and Petersburg


Beginning Monday April 5, 2021, Alaska Seaplanes will add Petersburg to their expanding Route Map.

Juneau—As we enter the new year, Alaska Seaplanes is excited to announce the addition of Petersburg to the communities served by SE Alaska’s largest regional commuter airline. “We look forward to being part of the Petersburg community,” said GM Carl Ramseth. “We’re excited to be expanding our reach and provide more connectivity for residents, medical travel, businesses, and visitors to and from Petersburg,” Ramseth added.


The service will be conducted on an IFR platform with turbine powered aircraft – the Pilatus PC-12 and the C-208 Grand Caravan. Both aircraft carry up to 9 passengers and will take approximately 55 minutes depending on the type of aircraft used. The flight schedule will start with daily departures from Juneau at 8:00am and 4:00pm with return departures from Petersburg at 9:30am and 5:30pm.

Alaska Seaplanes will be operating from the former Pacific Wings building at the Petersburg

Airport. New facility owner, Derek Lopez of DMC Enterprises is looking forward to the increased connectivity to and through Juneau, “Our community needs this, I’m very excited about this new service connecting Petersburg to Juneau and the rest of the Alaska Seaplanes route map,” remarked Lopez.

Fares will start at $199 each way between Juneau and Petersburg. Convenient connections in Juneau will allow total travel time between Sitka and Petersburg to be as little as 2.5 hours.
