On February 5, 2021 the Craig Emergency Operations Center was notified of one new COVID-19 case in Craig. The case is a Craig resident and has been classified as “travel related." The case is now in isolationfor the remainder of their infectious period. Public Health officials have completed the case investigation and contact tracing for this new case.
This case brings the total positive cases for Craig to eleven positive cases since April. The last reported case in Craig were two resident cases reported on December 21, 2020.
Currently there are 2 active cases on Prince of Wales Island. There has been a total of 42 cases reported on Prince of Wales since April.
In addition to these closures and modified services, it is critical that everyone does their part to reduce the spread of COVID-19 by frequently washing your hands/using hand sanitizer, wearing a mask or cloth face covering when in public, limiting interaction between members of households, maintaining good social distances with people from other households, and staying home from work or school if you are experiencing any symptoms or have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19. If you are travelling, especially over the holidays, please take additional safety measures and consider limiting your exposure to other people for 7 – 14 days after you return from your travels.
