Hiring – HCA Community Outreach Coordinator
The Hydaburg Cooperative Association is hiring a full-time Community Outreach Coordinator to work in Hydaburg, AK. to oversee the day-to-day implementation and completion of all objectives and activities outlined in the HCA - SEARHC, SAMHSA Tribal Opioid Funding Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). Responsibilities will include: Working with youth and adults in the community to provide an array of education and support services that focus on opiate and other drug use and addiction; Developing and delivering community education programs at the local school and community about causes of addiction, and strategies for individuals, families, employers and the community to implement components of a Harm-Reduction approach; Identifying local individuals who are in recovery and interested in getting training and support to develop Peer-Led Support groups, and Family Support groups; Meeting 1:1 with individuals in the community to provide support; and Initiating and supporting community-based Peer-Led and Family Support group(s).
This is considered a full-time “temporary” position as funding for the program is for a 12-month period, and is not guaranteed to be renewed. Open until filled. Direct inquiries and resume to email@example.com.
